This is one of the better welcome centers in the Midwest . Great hospitality.
Very nice stop heading into Kansas from Colorado. Usually has people working there answering questions and offering coffee. Clean restrooms.
I've stopped here a number of times and usually had a good experience.. but this last time, a welcome center person named Tom left me with a very bad impression. I suppose he was a Pro Slaver and opposed to my Free State palaver but his spiteful misinformation about Jayhawks being slave catchers was pitiful. I guess if you hold treacherous views, you need to be 'clever'.
Friendly people, free coffee, clean. Well run rest stop. Staff gave me directions for shortcut to I-80, which worked great.
